That said, this remix of "Something To Ride To(Funky Expedition)" is some laid back ridin' shit for real, even more so than the album version. Personally, I always felt that Paris' work on the first TCD album (including these two remixes) is probably his best work. That's sayin'a lot if you value the production on the first two Paris solos as much as I do. Pretty much the only element left over from the LP version is the main synth lead, he basically flips it into the tightest replay of SOS Band's "No One's Gonna Love You" you'll ever hear:
